Ron English currently resides in New Jersey where he has become one of the most prolific of contemporary artists and a key figure in the pop-surrealist movement.
English was brought up in Dallas, earning an MFA from the University of Texas in 1986.
English describes his vivid, irreverent approach to pop art aesthetics as “Popganda.” He incorporates superhero comics, art history, advertising, and politics in most of his work.
English could be found exhibiting in London, Los Angeles, and New York, among other cities.
He has album art for musicians including the Dandy Warhols and Slash.
